Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 492 to 3281 sfm, feeds from 0.001 to 0.020 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. These parameters suit continuous cutting operations with a small nose radius optimized for finishing to light semi-finishing. It is designed specifically for ISO group N (Non-ferrous metals). The positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for continuous cutting of thin-wall workpieces and low-rigidity setups, but it is not recommended for interrupted cutting or heavy roughing.
