This insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds between 0.018 and 0.035 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.315 in. It is designed for medium to low-speed roughing with general to interrupted cutting conditions. The robust negative rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape enable stable performance in demanding cuts. Ideal for ISO P25-P35 steel and M25-M35 stainless steel, this insert excels in medium to rough turning and facing operations. Its application envelope includes interrupted cuts, making it suitable for production OD turning, facing of forgings and castings with scale, and boring in rigid setups with heavier interrupted entries.
