Applications

Cutting speeds range from 492 to 3281 sfm, feeds from 0.002 to 0.031 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.217 inches. This insert supports continuous cutting with positive rake geometry. It is designed primarily for ISO group N (non-ferrous metals). Its positive rake and continuous cutting application make it unsuitable for interrupted cuts. The 60° trigon shape and 1/16″ nose radius enable contouring and profiling in finishing and semi-finishing operations.
