Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 525 to 984 sfm, feeds from 0.002 to 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. The recommended depth of cut should not exceed 0.197 in for optimal performance. It is designed for general cutting applications. It is primarily suited for ISO P20-P25 steel materials. The negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing operations, including interrupted cuts. This insert is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling but excels in rigid setups requiring strong edge strength and high material removal rates.
