Applications

This CCMT3(2.5)2-HMP PC9030 insert supports cutting speeds from 295 to 492 sfm, feeds between 0.004 and 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. It is designed for heavy interrupted cutting and roughing operations. The positive rake chipbreaker combined with the 1/32″ nose radius provides a balance of edge strength and contouring ability. It is optimized for machining stainless steel within ISO groups M25 to M35. This insert excels in heavy interrupted cuts on stainless steel, offering durability and performance in demanding roughing conditions but is not intended for fine finishing or light continuous cuts.
