Applications

Cutting speeds range from 427 to 820 sfm with feeds between 0.003 and 0.010 in/rev and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. This insert supports general to interrupted cutting at medium to low speeds, suitable for roughing operations within these parameters. The positive rake and 80° diamond shape enable effective medium-low speed roughing with moderate feed and depth of cut. This insert is designed primarily for ISO P25-P35 steel and secondarily for M25-M35 stainless steel. Its positive rake geometry and chipbreaker configuration make it suitable for light interrupted cuts but not for heavy interrupted or severe roughing. It excels in applications requiring good edge strength and moderate feed rates on steel and stainless steel materials.
