Applications

This CCMT turning insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds from 0.004 to 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. These parameters enable versatile general cutting operations with a focus on finishing and semi-finishing. It is suitable for ISO material groups P30-P40 (steel) as primary and M20-M30 (stainless steel) as secondary, with additional applicability to K20-K25 (cast iron) and S15-S25 (HRSA/titanium). The positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape favor continuous cutting; interrupted cuts are not recommended due to the chipbreaker and insert design.
