Its 6-flute design paired with a 40° helix angle and bright coating results in polished flutes that minimize chip welding and smearing, particularly effective in aluminum and copper alloys. The 7/8″ length of cut ensures a good balance between reach and stiffness, enabling accurate finishing passes without excessive tool deflection. This tool is well matched to full slotting and rough pocketing operations in 6061/6082 aluminum and gummy copper alloys, following best practice recommendations for non-ferrous machining.
