Applications

This CCMT432-C25 NC3030 insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds between 0.005 and 0.014 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.138 in. It is designed for general to interrupted cutting with medium-low speed roughing conditions. The insert is suitable for ISO material groups P25-P35 (steel) primarily, with secondary suitability for M25-M35 (stainless steel). Its positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape provide good strength and contouring ability, but it is not recommended for heavy interrupted cuts or severe roughing. The 1/32″ nose radius balances surface finish and edge strength, making it ideal for finishing and semi-finishing operations.
