Applications

Cutting speeds range from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds from 0.003 to 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.059 in. This insert supports general to interrupted cutting with a maximum depth of cut of 0.059 in. It is designed primarily for ISO P30-P35 steels and secondarily for M20-M30 stainless steels, K30 cast irons, and S15-S25 HRSA/titanium alloys. The negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it well suited for roughing and interrupted cuts, especially on steel and cast iron, while maintaining good shoulder turning capability.
