Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.002 to 0.006 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.091 in. The maximum depth of cut is the hard upper limit for this insert’s application. It is designed for general cutting and universal use in turning operations. It is suitable for ISO material groups P30-P40 (Steel) as the primary range, with secondary suitability for M20-M30 (Stainless steel), K20-K25 (Cast iron), and S15-S25 (HRSA/Titanium). The positive rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for finishing and semi-finishing, but it is not recommended for heavy interrupted cuts or roughing.
