Applications

Cutting speeds range from 525 to 984 sfm, feeds from 0.002 to 0.006 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.091 in. This insert supports general cutting operations within these parameters. The positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape enable effective semi-finishing and finishing cuts at moderate feeds and depths. This insert is designed primarily for ISO P20-P25 steel materials. It is well suited for continuous cutting conditions and light interrupted cuts but is not recommended for heavy interrupted cuts. Its positive rake and chipbreaker design favor finishing and semi-finishing roles rather than roughing or heavy interrupted machining.
