Applications

The YG1 85595TN finishing end mill features a 5/8″ diameter and 3/4″ length of cut, with five flutes and a TiN coating, designed to provide excellent rigidity and precision. Its approximate 1.2 length-to-diameter ratio and 45° helix improve surface finish and chip evacuation, reducing vibration during light radial stock removal in steel finishing applications. The TiN coating enhances wear resistance and minimizes built-up edge, complementing the flute count and helix angle to maintain consistent cutting performance. The solid carbide construction ensures durability, while the center cutting design allows for plunge cuts. Because it lacks a corner radius, users should monitor for edge chipping during interrupted cuts. This end mill is not suitable for HRSA (ISO S) materials due to coating unsuitability. Avoid using it on heat-resistant superalloys to prevent premature failure. It is not optimized for heavy roughing or materials outside its specified range.
