Applications

Cutting speeds range from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds from 0.009 to 0.024 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. This insert supports a broad range of general cutting operations with a maximum depth of cut of 0.197 in. It is designed primarily for ISO P30-P40 steel and secondarily for M20-M30 stainless steel, K20-K25 cast iron, and S15-S25 HRSA/Titanium. The negative rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing, including interrupted cuts, but it is not suited for precision finishing or profiling.
