Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 115 to 656 sfm, feeds from 0.002 to 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. It is designed for continuous to general cutting operations. The insert is suitable for ISO material groups S05-S15 (HRSA/Titanium) primarily and M10-M20 (Stainless steel) secondarily. Its negative rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape provide excellent edge strength and make it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing on steel and alloy steels. Interrupted cuts are supported, but it is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling.
