Applications

Cutting speeds range from 115 to 656 sfm, feeds from 0.002 to 0.006 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.059 in. This insert supports continuous to general cutting with a maximum depth of cut of 0.059 in. It is designed for use on ISO material groups S05-S15 (HRSA/Titanium) primarily and M10-M20 (Stainless steel) secondarily, with additional suitability for H05-H10 (Hardened steel). The negative rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape provide excellent edge strength and interrupted cut suitability, making it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing operations. This insert is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling due to its negative rake and limited clearance. It excels in rigid setups requiring strong cutting edges and can handle heavier interrupted entries but is not suitable for thin-wall or low-rigidity workpieces.
