Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds from 0.004 to 0.020 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.264 in. These parameters enable robust medium to rough turning and facing operations with high material removal rates. The negative rake chipbreaker and strong edge design allow excellent performance in general to interrupted cutting conditions. It is suitable primarily for ISO P30-P35 steels and secondarily for M20-M30 stainless steels, K30 cast irons, and S15-S25 HRSA/titanium alloys. The insert excels in roughing and interrupted cuts, including shoulder turning and heavy boring in rigid setups, but is not intended for precision finishing or profiling.
