Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 115 to 656 sfm, feeds between 0.004 and 0.012 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. It is designed for continuous to general cutting operations with a maximum depth of cut of 0.118 in. The insert is suitable primarily for ISO S05-S15 (HRSA/Titanium) and secondarily for M10-M20 (Stainless steel) and H05-H10 (Hardened steel). Its positive rake and 55° diamond shape make it ideal for finishing and light semi-finishing cuts, but it is not recommended for interrupted cutting or rough turning.
