Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds from 0.004 to 0.014 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.079 in. It is designed for general to interrupted cutting applications, accommodating a wide range of machining conditions. It is suitable for ISO material groups P30-P35 (steel) as the primary range, with secondary applicability to M20-M30 (stainless steel), K30 (cast iron), and S15-S25 (HRSA/titanium). The negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it ideal for medium to rough turning and facing, including interrupted cuts on steel and cast iron, but it is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling.
