Applications

This TCMT insert supports cutting speeds from 115 to 656 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.002 to 0.008 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.098 in. It is designed for continuous to general cutting operations. The insert is suitable for machining ISO material groups S05-S15 (HRSA/Titanium) primarily, with secondary capability in M10-M20 (Stainless steel) and H05-H10 (Hardened steel). Its positive rake geometry and 1/64″ nose radius make it ideal for finishing and semi-finishing applications but not recommended for interrupted cuts or rough turning.
