Applications

Cutting speeds range from 115 to 656 sfm, feeds from 0.002 to 0.004 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.039 in. This insert supports continuous to general cutting with a maximum depth of cut of 0.039 in. This CCMT insert is designed primarily for ISO S05-S15 (HRSA/Titanium) and secondarily for M10-M20 (Stainless steel) and H05-H10 (Hardened steel). Its positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape make it ideal for finishing and semi-finishing operations, but it is not suitable for heavy interrupted cuts.
