Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 82 to 525 sfm, feeds ranging from 0.003 to 0.010 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.118 in. It is designed for interrupted cutting and roughing operations, accommodating moderate to light cutting conditions. The 1/64″ nose radius enables semi-finishing to medium machining with good edge strength for moderate feeds. It is suitable for ISO material groups P35-P45 (steel) as the primary application, with secondary suitability for M30-M40 (stainless steel), K30-K35 (cast iron), and S25-S35 (heat-resistant superalloys and titanium). This insert performs well in interrupted cutting scenarios but is not recommended for heavy roughing or severe interruptions.
