Applications

Recommended cutting parameters include depths of cut up to 0.059 inch (1.5 mm) and feed rates up to 0.15 mm/rev, ideal for finishing to light semi-finishing operations. The small 0.008 inch nose radius supports good surface finish quality at these cutting conditions. This insert is designed primarily for ISO groups M and S, targeting stainless steel, heat-resistant alloys, titanium, and aluminum. Its positive rake geometry and 80° diamond shape make it well-suited for continuous cutting in thin-wall components and low-rigidity setups. Heavy roughing and severe interrupted cuts are not recommended.
