With a 7/16″ diameter and 9/16″ length of cut, the YG1 33588TF finishing end mill offers a stub length to diameter ratio near 1.29, delivering high rigidity and precision for finishing tasks. This size is well suited for controlled reach and minimal deflection, enhancing dimensional accuracy particularly in cast iron components. Its 30° helix angle, four-flute configuration, and TiAlN Futura coating combine to provide efficient chip evacuation and improved abrasion resistance. This synergy supports smooth cutting and extended tool life when machining abrasive materials such as cast iron, while also aligning well with free-machining steel applications. Because of coating unsuitability, this tool should not be used on non-ferrous materials to avoid rapid wear.
