Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 361 to 755 sfm, feeds between 0.012 and 0.024 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.315 in. It is designed for general to interrupted cutting operations, making it versatile for various turning tasks. The medium nose radius of 3/64″ balances edge strength and surface finish for semi-finishing to medium machining. It is suitable primarily for ISO P30-P35 steel and secondarily for M20-M30 stainless steel, K30 cast iron, and S15-S25 HRSA/titanium. The negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape make it ideal for roughing and interrupted cuts, but it is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling.
