Providing a balanced combination of rigidity and reach, the YG1 07560TE 9/64″ Size, 1/2″ Length of Cut, 4 Flute, YG TiAlN Extreme Solid Carbide Finishing End Mill is designed for precision finishing in steels. Its 30° helix angle and four-flute geometry enhance chip evacuation while maintaining strength, enabling smooth cutting in free-machining steel and general milling operations. The TiAlN Extreme coating offers thermal stability and wear resistance, extending tool life under demanding steel machining conditions.
This end mills geometry and coating combination correspond with recommended setups for free-machining steel and low carbon steel slotting, where four flutes provide a balance between chip clearance and strength. Without a corner radius, this tool emphasizes clean edge finishes over interrupted cuts, reducing the likelihood of chipping during continuous milling.
Avoid applying this tool to Non-Ferrous (ISO N) materials since the TiAlN Extreme coating is not ideal and will deteriorate quickly. It is also unsuited for plastics or softer metals where alternate coatings and flute designs are preferred.
