Applications

This CNMG644-GR NC3030 insert supports cutting speeds from 427 to 820 sfm, feeds between 0.012 and 0.031 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.394 inches. It is designed for medium to low-speed roughing with general to interrupted cutting applications. It is optimized for ISO P25-P35 steels primarily, with secondary suitability for M25-M35 stainless steels. The negative rake chipbreaker and robust 80° diamond shape enable excellent performance in interrupted cuts and roughing, but it is not intended for precision finishing or profiling operations.
