Applications

This CCMT3(2.5)1-VF CN1500 insert supports feed rates from 0.0004 to 0.0039 in/rev and depths of cut up to 0.0394 in. Its positive rake geometry and 1/64″ nose radius make it suitable for finishing and semi-finishing operations with moderate feeds and light interrupted cuts. Ideal for ISO groups P, M, and K, this insert excels in machining stainless steel, heat-resistant alloys, and aluminum. It is not recommended for heavy roughing or severe interrupted cuts due to its positive rake and edge strength limitations.
