Applications

This insert supports cutting speeds from 98 to 574 sfm, feeds between 0.004 and 0.020 in/rev, and depths of cut up to 0.197 in. The maximum depth of cut is 0.197 in, ensuring robust material removal rates in general cutting applications. It is designed primarily for ISO P30-P40 steel and secondarily for M20-M30 stainless steel, K20-K25 cast iron, and S15-S25 HRSA/titanium. The negative rake chipbreaker and 80° diamond shape provide excellent edge strength and make this insert well suited for medium to rough turning, facing, and interrupted cuts in rigid setups. It is not recommended for precision finishing or profiling.
